Their Sunday best

A sample of my Sunday pictures. Look at how these girls dress up for their baptismal service! And look at the crowd gathered to witness the baptism. What a thing to see!

Hello Friends,
Ivanildo, I have enjoyed reading your diary of the day to day events that are taking place. Sorry to hear that you are not feeling well...I'm sure you will be well tomorrow. May the Divine health of Jesus Christ be yours!

I was thinking of 2 Corinth 10:5 (Message) when reading about the bandits. "The world is unprincipled. It's dog-eat-dog out there! The world doesn't fight fair. But we don't live or fight our battles that way--never have and never will. The tools of our trade aren't for marketing or manipulation, but they are for demolishing that entire massively corrupt culture. We use our powerful God-tools for smashing warped philosophies, tearing down barriers erected against the truth of God, fitting every loose thought and emotion and impulse into the structure of life shaped by Christ. Our tools are ready at hand for clearing the ground of every obstruction and building lives of obedience into maturity."

I am also thinking of the Isrealites and how they applied the blood of the lamb over their doorposts as the death angel passed over - Very appropriate for these people facing the bandits.

May the Holy Spirit lead, guide, teach and hover over you all as you respond to Him.
"Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit says the Lord."

We are praying and I know you are as well...

May you all continue to RE-present Jesus to these people.
God bless,
Lisa McConnell

Greetings to God's hands and feet in Africa,

The church in Wooster Ohio prays for you and is so proud of you.

I love the pictures; the smiles, the solemn tone of reverence in the faces of the baptism candidates; and the sense of joy on the faces of those in attendance is unmistakable. We miss you guys!
