A Dream is Born

Hello everyone,
What a privilege to be the first ones to visit the G.R.O.W. home in Chiang Mai. We sat down in the evening, after enjoying an incredibly yummy meal prepared by Ning, Faa's sister, and worshipped with the children and the two sisters. I wish I could tell you how it felt as we heard the children reciting Bible verses and singing together praises to the Lord. Now the new ones are a little shy and they still have a lot to learn, but they are so precious.
During our time together Ning shared her story about how a few years ago she prayed a prayer to God asking Him to give her a chance to realize her dream of having a home for at risk children. Faa was translating and she broke down. It turns out Faa didn't even know about this. Ning was reading from a small piece of paper she had used to write down her prayer to God. Her prayer was very specific. She told God how she believed she had nothing to offer but that she wanted Him to use her anyway. She talked about a home for boys and a home for boys, a training center, a place of worship and a playground so the children could play freely. This was not a prayer of someone lacking calling. It was a very precise prayer of someone with much faith and a destiny. By now Faa was really crying because her sister's dream paralleled hers exactly. What a moving moment that was!
Now, of course, this dream is still pretty far from being fulfilled. But God has already given us an incredible beginning. Since last October G.R.O.W. is a reality. The kids we sat with and played with, and laughed with are the fruit of the labor of many of you who have given sacrificially. Ning wanted to make sure that I said thank you to all of you. Through you her dream (and Faa's) of rescuing children for God is being realized. If you want more information about this ministry, please visit G.R.O.W. website.

Blessings,
Pastor Ivanildo C. Trindade

What a wonderful picture to see Faa and her sister together.
Give greetings and know that we pray all the time...day and night(Jeanna, I have been coughing at night so I pray for you then...I know that while I am sleeping you all are out and about, so I pray when I wake up in the night for you all).
Yes, A Dream is Born and God will birth many more for these dear children and for Faa and her sister. What a great beginning!
Greetings from Celeste and all the Kerns
