A Quick Update

Hello everyone,

A quick post on this Wednesday morning from Belem, the portal of Amazonia. We are doing well, our team experienced a "break in the action" yesterday, doing a little sight seeing and shopping around the city of Belem. We saw the old harbor with the famous Ver-O-Peso Market, where the original cast iron structure manufactured in England still stands. We saw the fort facing the Guajara Bay, built by the Portuguese in the 1600's to fend off potential enemy invaders. Then we ended the day going to a department store and eating at their food plaza.

People are everywhere here. Opportunities for the Gospel abound. Our team has had many opportunities to "randomly" share the Gospel with people at different places. We've been blessed to share the good news with people of all ages.

Our team is doing extremely well. We are a little tired (more than a little!) but everybody has a great attitude. Sarah has joined our ranks again -- she stayed in the hotel all day yesterday. She was feeling well enough to have breakfast with us. Please continue to pray for her and the rest of the team -- that we will stay healthy.

Tonight we have the wonderful opportunity to share with a group of High School and Middle School students. The purpose of the evening is to encourage them to get involved in mission work. Our team, I believe, is uniquely qualified to share our experiences with the teens. But there are language and cultural barriers there. Pray for Andy, Scot, and Rebekah, as they share their testimony. And pray for Pastor RAD, as he shares the message. Service starts at 5:00 pm Wooster time, but we will be out on the street in front of the church at 4:00 pm playing with the children.

Pray!

Pastor Ivanildo C. Trindade
