Day two, Paris with the natives. Natives in Paris? Not African
natives, but French placed natives by the name of Rob and Nicole
Plaster.
It was an all night, I guess that's what you can call it when your
time zone leaps ahead about 6 hours, flight complete with lots of
people, in flight movies and more carbohydrates than probably a man
my age should be eating:) Anyone, thankfully the flight was mostly
uneventful, a bit of a delay, got us into Paris a little behind
schedule but considering we had about a twelve hour layover, it
really didn't matter.
Once in Paris the Plasters were superior hosts as we dined in some
fine, yet affordable cuisine, saw the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame and
closed out our time with some delicious ice cream. I am thankful for
the chance to see and hear first hand the ministry that Plasters have
endeavored to do under the Lord's guidance. Yet another way that a
bunch of Wooster Jesus people who reside at 4599 Burbank Road are
making a difference by giving back to the Plasters and the people of
France. What a joy to be serving on the front lines representing
Jesus and all the folks back home. Thanks again today for your
prayers for our team.
Tonight we will be flying out from Paris about 11:00 p.m., which will
land us in Bangui, Africa, early tomorrow morning. Pray for contacts
on the plane, along with adequate rest for the team because so far
it's been an hour here and there of sleep we've been able to grab
since leaving Wooster yesterday morning.
Tomorrow we will be acclimating in Bangui and then it's off to the
village we go!
Thanks for stopping by the blog, and I look forward to chatting
together again soon!
